12 Oct Watford & Sarratt Wedding – Chris & Coral
This was such a chilled out wedding so don’t be deceived by the church ceremony. Chris and Coral really had one of the most informal wedding days I’ve been to and it was great fun.
I met up with Coral who was getting ready at The Grove in Watford, a welcome short drive from home in Hemel Hempstead. With big rooms and a balcony overlooking lovely grounds it made for a stress free start to the day. We headed out to the gardens for a few photos when everyone was ready before we headed to St John’s Church in Watford for the wedding.
It was the first time I’d been to St John’s and fortunately I had plenty of time to get there. The sat-nav was little to no use negotiating my way through Watford’s one way labyrinth. I could see the church but I never actually made it to the church car park and had to abandon the car and walk the last bit. All good fun on a wedding day!
After the ceremony we headed up to Sarratt where Chris & Coral had hired a marquee in the pub garden of The Boot. There was a mini football pitch in the garden too so needless to say there was not a single clean pair of trousers on any boy by the end of the afternoon. I’m in no way a sports photographer but it made for some good photos.
After food and speeches the band fired up, fronted by no other than the the bride’s dad. A heavy metal band at a wedding was a first for me but at the end of such an informal day it just worked.
Congratulations guys, it was an amazing day!
