13 Oct Shendish Manor Wedding Photography – Sophie & Antony
Despite living just a 5 minute drive away this was my first chance to photograph a wedding at Shendish Manor on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead. The hotel has parkland, formal gardens and a grand Victorian hotel with modern conference facilities so it’s really well suited to a lot of weddings and tastes. It’s also got a fairly decent golf course attached but I’ll save that for a day when I’m not photographing a wedding.
Sophie and Antony’s families have known each other since they were children and have grown up and still live in Hemel Hempstead so Shendish Manor was an obvious choice for their wedding. They were super easy to work with, looking for natural unposed coverage of the wedding with a few posed photos and groups. That’s right up my street and they let me just carry on taking photos in my documentary style for the majority of the day.
They were kind enough to leave the following review, although I read the first 8 words with growing fear and was extremely relieved to see the word ‘enough’ at the end of that sentence:
“I couldn’t recommend Neil as a wedding photographer enough. He has been a complete professional throughout the process, with a calm and relaxed manner, as well as being efficient at getting our photos back to us and dealing with queries. Our wedding photos are fantastic and capture the happy and relaxed mood of our wedding day, and all the people involved perfectly. We are extremely pleased that we chose him to photograph our wedding.”
It’s lovely to get feedback like that, know you’ve captured the spirit of the day and given them memories of their wedding that they’ll love for years to come.
